CNC VTL Machinist

You will perform set-ups of CNC VTL Lathes in on of the best machine shops in NE Wisconsin.
Follow routing, job SOP’s and setup sheets
- Setup, operate and maintain machining equipment.
- Be self-sufficient in ability to determine proper setup and
Machining methods when required.
Edit programs and / or methods as required.
- Machine components per drawing, program and / or routed procedure.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and record keeping.
- Operate jib crane (load and unload parts)
- Operate overhead crane (load and unload parts)
- Handle under hook rigging, Chains, Straps, lifting devices
- Rig and lift components
- Once lifted push and pull components into place.
- Clamp components into place either on the table or on the machine.
- Depending on the machine, crank, push, pull machine into position to perform machining function
- Frequently reach, push, pull up to 50 lbs. of force as required to position parts and machinery
- Perform routine maintenance on machines, maintain oil levels, change filters etc.
- Standing and work at machine for entire shift
- The employee is required to frequently use hands to lift up to 50#, carry up to 50#, and push/pull up to 50# force.
- The employee is required to occasionally sit, climb or balance (operating machine, performing setups, checking measurements)
- Vertical Turning responsibilities
- The part and the setup equipment are rotating
- Understanding the effect that centrifugal force plays a large roll on this type of machine.
- Ability perform safe self-setups
- Ability to understand safe tool paths and required machine clearances
- Ability to machine blind without seeing the tool
