Electrical Controls Engineer

Our client in the Green Bay area has an immediate need for a Electrical Controls Engineer. Successful candidates will have experience with Servo and PLC programming, electrical panel design, automation, machine tooling, manufacturing process and maintenance methods are also beneficial. Candidates must also have a background in custom machine design and automated systems, including high speed motion control from an electrical and mechanical point of view.
Daily activities will involve:
– Programming PLC’s and HMI’s for devices and systems
– Startup equipment in shop and participate in customer inspections
– Startup equipment at customer’s facilities and assist with installations
Additional responsibilities may include:
– Creating bills of materials (BOM’s) and ordering parts required for projects
– Creating ACAD-E drawings and schematics as needed
– Assisting Sales and Applications with controls scope of projects as needed
– Possible R&D Team participation
Basic Requirements:
-3 to 5 years of experience with design, programing and implementation of the following:
-Rockwell Control Logix PLCs
-Safety PLCs
-AC drives
-HMIs (ME with some knowledge of SE)
-Kinetix motion controllers and drives
– Must be willing to travel (40%-50% typical)
Preferred Experience:
– Knowledge and or experience with non-Rockwell software and components would be a plus
– Basic ACAD schematic drawing or ACAD Electrical package experience would be a plus
