Quality Manager

Position Summary:
Inspects product throughout the manufacturing process.  Provide exceptional customer service internally and externally, to correct and eliminate any nonconformities, and reduce associated costs.  Provides necessary documentation as required by the customer.  Completes any necessary paperwork provided by the customer.  Works toward updating and maintaining the Quality Management System.

Requirements:

  1. Secondary school, Tech, College, etc. or 5 years experience in related field.
  2. Minimum of five years of experience in welding and/or quality control.
  3. Familiar with welding techniques, methods, and blue print reading.
  4. Knowledge of  Quality related software applications.
  5. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  6. Ability to problem solve; gather facts, analyze information, and work toward resolution.

Daily Responsibilities:

  1. Perform incoming inspection on non commodity items.
  2. Perform in process inspection as required for multiple piece orders.
  3. Perform final inspection as dictated by the customer requirements and/or the sales group.
  4. Maintain material certificates for purchased material.
  5. Work with Purchasing to resolve any problems regarding vendor supplied material.
  6. Process customer complaints, ensuring resolve in a timely manner.  This can incorporate issuing the customer a return authorization, approving debit memos, and initiating rework through Engineering.
  7. Record non conformance incidents and work to prevent reoccurrences.
  8. Work with Engineering to revise prints if inaccurate or clarification is needed.
  9. Process necessary credit memos in the respective accounts receivable module.

Employment Type: Full Time
Wages: $65000 - $85000 per year
